The CSGA Plate final between Queanbeyan and Federal was played today at Gold Creek Country Club.  Both teams were excited and ready to go with a lovely clear day with a ‘chill to the bone’ wind blowing quite strongly.  The course was in good shape with some very tough pin placements and a bit ‘on the quick side’ greens.  Play commenced with enthusiasm and first hole the ‘crow patrol’ was required.  This happened on several of the first few holes.   Play was very even during the first nine and this continued on the back nine with one match going to the 18th,  2 going to the 17th, 1 going to the 16th and one finishing on the 15th.  A very tight tussel with Federal winning the Plate.  It is noted that Federal last won this event ten years ago and now can celebrate their victory.
A special thank you to Gold Creek, Paula and Jodie for their assistance and hospitality.
