Burns Golf Club Belconnen Women’s Open Day on 5 March attracted 102 players. Players enjoyed a great day of golf and friendly competition. Divisions 1 and 2 played Stroke, while Division 3 played Stableford.
The weather was overcast, hot and muggy following several days of rain, leaving parts of the course a little soggy. Fortunately, preferred lies and bunkers being out of play were well received by the field and helped make conditions more enjoyable. The course looked beautiful and richly green.
There were some good scores returned, with both the best overall Gross and Nett going to Burns Golf Club Belconnen players, much to the delight of the home club.
