The final of the Emily Hurt Shield was held at Murrumbidgee Country Club on Thursday 19 June between Royal Canberra and Yowani Country Club.
The early frost had evaporated by the time the ladies teed off at 10am, in the chilly conditions the match was closely contested and could have gone either way with the final match being played to the 18th for a 1 up win to Yowani giving them a 3/2 win over the gallant Royal Canberra team.
The winning team of Joanne McAuslan, Kirili Veliscek, Robyn Leece, Kerry Collins and Sarah Schoonwater were over the moon with their win.
