Today the final of the Emily Hurt Pennant was played at Murrumbidgee Country Club and the weather albeit cold, was good as it did not rain but a rainbow at the start of the matches did have us wondering!  The ladies were all rugged up and this made it difficult to distinguish who was who.  The players were very ‘nervous nellies’ at the start and the nerves were very identifiable.  However, the teams got off to a good start and it was fantastic to see the camaraderie between the ladies during their matches.  All players had caddies to assist with directions and / or finding their ball.  Lots of shots were given to one side or the other and most matches went well into the back nine.  The result was the winning team being Royal Canberra defeating Queanbeyan 4/1.  A great effort ladies.  Murrumbidgee Gofl Course is in fantastic condition and picture perfect. Congratulations Royal Canberra.  Click here for results  Emily Hurt Results
