The final of the Bronze Shield was held today at Murrumbidgee Golf Course between Gungahlin Lakes and the defending champions, Braidwoode.  The teams arrived early and eager to play.  The weather was perfect albeit a cutting chilly breeze was coming from the mountains.  Teams were prepared, advised of local rules and then the contest began.  The ladies teed off in twos for four holes and then teamed up in fours as they ran into the morning field.  On the back nine the ladies reverted to pairs and settled down to some very good golf.  There were some awesome shots and some ‘not so awesome’ shots.  Around the 13th holes things were starting to swing in Braidwood’s favour with one match finishing on this hole.  Another match went to the 18th and another to the 17th.  A very good tussle between the teams and congratulations to the defending champs, Braidwood on winning their consecutive Bronze Shield.  Well done ladies.  Results Sheet – Results Sheet
