The Bronze Shield final was held at RMC under what was a wet and an extremely ‘heavy’ course and proved quite challenging for the players.  At the half way mark no clear winner was emerging.  It was not until at the 17th two groups were in for Braidwood and then two groups for Royal Canberra – neck and neck.  Nothing between the layers and it took the number threes to go down to the 17th where Royal squared the hole to win 2/1. The result was 3/2 to Royal – a very tight tussle indeed.
Royal Canberra took out the Bronze Shield and have not won it since 2003.
Good work by both teams.  Loads of photos on our Facebook page.
