The Annual Vets day at Goulburn was held last Friday. It was changed to a Friday to see if this suited more players than on the usual Monday. The day started in Canberra at 2 degrees with a very thick fog. Arriving at Goulburn the fog wss still ‘loitering’ and kept it quite chilly for the start. This was a shotgun start and the field got away promptly in the fog. However after a few holes – the fog left – and the day was very sunny and comfortable to play golf. The field moved nicely and players came in to a very nice lunch. So the winner of the H K Smith Trophy – bet score over all three grades was Lynette Hatton from Moss Vale with 40 pts! Great golfing Ladies.
