It was a chilly Canberra morning for the golfers, despite the sun shining on our host course, Gold Creek, which was presented in tip-top condition.
The course was a true test of golf with long holes and slippery greens.
Our Division One gold medallist Narelle Woods from Murrumbidgee CC turned in the best round of the day, Nett 69, 3 under par. Narelle has previously won this event and was keen to have another opportunity to test her skills in the State final at Stonecutters Ridge Golf Club in Sydney on 6th December.
Narelle will be joined by our DivIsion 2 and Division 3 winners, Carolyn Donovan from Moss Vale Club and Diane Scobie from Yowani Country Club. Carolyn has reduced her handicap from 54 to 27 this year and is excited to represent the CSGA in the State final too. DI Scobie was an excited winner of Division 3 and also keen to be a State finalist for CSGA.
Only Carolyn was on hand for the official presentation, seen here in the photo with President Janine Gould.
Well done to all the 48 players who participated yesterday, it was our best turnout ever!
Good luck to our State players who will receive further information from Golf NSW shortly.
