2025 CSGA Gala Day

Our final event for the year has at field of over 100 players, certainly the largest field for many years.  This year raising funds for OzHarvest, a leading food rescue charity providing meals for people in need across our region. Players generously donated $840. Christine from OzHarvest explained how their organisation manages to rescue around 7,000kg of surplus food each week turning it into almost 22,000 meals for people in need across the region.  Today’s donation equates to 1680 meals.

The golfing winners were:
Best Nett with a score of 63 and winners of the Glenda Best Jug from Fairbairn Golf Club Hernawati Elliot and Helen Angel
Best Gross with a score of 84 from Murrumbidgee Golf Club Narelle Woods and Tanya Robson

Best Costume
Christine was also given the task of judging the best dressed outfits which went to the Frangipanis – Karen Pennell from Murrumbidgee and Andrea Gration from Royal.

The 2024 CSGA Gala Day was played at Braidwood on Thursday 21 November, and it was again another fantastic day of golf for women in the district, with 50 playing in ‘Back on the Farm’ costumes. The CSGA thanks our major sponsor Drummond Golf for their support of all our CSGA events.

Nett winners were Dawn Manning and Shereena Mathew, from Royal and Nett Runner-up Michelle Henry & Margy Gardner from Braidwood.

Gross winners were Sharon Powderly & Sally Boundy, Royal and Gross Runner-up Margie Bain-Smith & Sunny Lee, Royal.

Best costume – Sharon Powderly & Sally Boundy from Royal.

The raffle raised $615 and a generous donation by Braidwood Golf Club added another $500 to the pool. On hand from the Charity Braidwood Life Centre, Maria & Helen accepted the $1,115 donation. Well done all.
