Canberra Shield

CANBERRA SHIELD

The trophy is donated by Emily Hurt.

This event commenced in 1990, and was initiated to encourage non-pennant players during the year the opportunity to play matchplay. Teams consist of 8 players, in handicap order and the draw must ensure that the eight members of a club play against the members of different clubs. From 2025, the maximum number of clubs is set at 8 teams and there must be an even number of clubs for the draw.

All members finish at the 18th, with 2 points for a win and 1 point for a draw (square).
