EMILY HURT SHIELD
The name of the shield was changed later to the Emily Hurt Shield and the handicap range was changed to 30-45 to reflect the new handicap system, and players must not have played in any other Pennants team.
The Shield was introduced in 1983 to encourage and enable new golfers in the handicap range 28-36, to experience and learn how to play Match Play. The shield was made and donated by Mrs Emily Hurt.
