It is with great pleasure that we advise our District Golfers that the CSGA Life Member, Coralie Amos has been awarded an Australia Day Medal (OAM) in the general division. Coralie has been a long member of the CSGA commencing in 1990 as Handicap Manager for six years. Coralie was President in 1999, returning as Handicap Manager in 2005 through to 2009. With the advent of GolfLink this position was abolished.
The CSGA inducted Coralie to a Life Member of the CSGA in 2010.
Coralie was also involved in the following:
Australian National Museum of Education – Member of Board Management
Australian Red Cross – Volunteer
Calvary Health Care – Volunteer Mental Health Unit
Silver Threads – Manager
Magpies Belconnen Golf Club – various roles including President
Yowani Country Cluib – Rules Official
Canberra Antique and Classic Motor Club – Member
MG Car Club Canberra – Member
Canberra Calligraphy Society – Member
Boomerangs Softball Club – Life Member
This is truly a commendable effort and she is still participating in many of these organisations. Coralie continues to support and actively engage with the CSGA and the Committee wishes to congratulate Coralie on receiving the OAM medal.
